We have covered the city of Dundee, Angus and the whole of Perthshire for many years, and our local surveyors and technicians have extensive knowledge and lengthy experience in the area.
Dundee is Scotland's fourth largest city and has historically been an important east coast trading port. Due to the sheltered nature of Dundee temperatures tend to be slightly higher than other coastal areas in Scotland.
As with many coastal towns across the UK many buildings may suffer from wall tie corrosion due to the salty air. High levels of rainfall may also lead to issues such as rising and penetrating damp, especially to older buildings across Tayside. It’s essential to make sure that guttering isn't blocked or damaged, as this may lead to damp related problems.
Some recent projects include dry rot repairs and treatments Alyth Parish Church; our contract included the erection of a designed support scaffolding to support the roof structure whilst we removed some load bearing trusses for renewal.
We have also recently completed a basement waterproofing contract at the historic Perth Theatre. The theatre is undergoing a £16m renovation and our works are necessary to ensure the basement is kept dry as it regularly flooded in the past.
We regularly carry out specialist timber repairs, damp proofing and condensation control works for social housing providers Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council and Sanctuary Housing Association.
