If this Peter Cox adventure had gone wrong, it would have been the two courageous volunteers in the suspended basket who would have needed the water-proofing most. The
two brave souls were actually working directly above a canal with just one day to complete the job of specialist water proofing to this splendid Victorian mill conversion.
Senior Surveyor, Neil Aspin, explains, “This part of the mill has been divided into 12 waterside apartments. We had already carried out basement waterproofing, including the installation of pumps and channels. The problem now was that rainwater ingress through
the pediments was causing staining to the plasterboard ceilings in the bedrooms which overlook the waterway.”
