Protect your home from the weather this winter INSIDE & OUT

Continued exposure to the elements can result in damp penetrating the external walls of your home. And where there is damp there comes the cold that permeates through to the internal walls. Peter Cox has two effective treatments that will protect your home both inside and out.

Protect your home

It is at this time of the year that the risk of condensation forming increases when the heated air inside your home comes into contact with cold surfaces. Misted windows may be a sure sign that you are experiencing condensation issues, which, if left untreated, can lead to problems such as black mould growth. As well as being unsightly, this can be detrimental to the health of those young, old and vulnerable.

External protection

The external application of DryWall Thermotek can protect your masonry from the insidious effects of our inclement winter weather for up to 25 years. This unique formulation can be applied in a single coat to brick, stone or cement and provides a barrier that prevents water penetration while still allowing the wall to breathe. But DryWall Thermotek does more than just offer protection, it actually increases the thermal efficiency of your property.

An effective combination

For use on internal walls that are susceptible to condensation there is Warmerwall. This is a water-based coating that when applied utilises a hollow glass bubble technology as an effective insulating barrier between the cold surface and the warm ambient temperature inside the property. This is designed to inhibit the formation of condensation and the resulting mould growth.

The insulating properties of both DryWall Thermotek and Warmerwall Anti-Condensation Coating can also help to lower your energy usage, thereby, reducing your carbon footprint and actually saving you money!
