Peter Cox has introduced a new technical presentation for architects, surveyors and housing managers entitled ‘Condensation Control and Improving Air Quality in the Home’. This has been approved by the RIBA for inclusion in their CPD Providers Network programme and is the 5th such RIBA accredited seminar presentation developed by the company.
Topics covered include the causes of condensation and distinguishing it from rising damp; the risks to health caused by excess humidity and other airborne contaminants; the benefits of specifying positive input ventilation units and filterless extract fans to mitigate the problem; why toxic mould detection may be advisable on occasions; and how condensation can also present a risk to timber sub-floors.
