Keeping costs down this winter

Cosy nights in with the heating turned up are perfect during the winter months, but as everyone knows, energy bills can be very costly! There are however a few changes you can make to your home to save those pennies.

Here at Peter Cox, we have three types of products that can help you save money this winter.

DryWall Thermotek

Waterproof brickworkWhen walls become wet, they become cold, meaning their thermal resistance lowers and heat can begin to escape making them less effective at keeping heat in. DryWall Thermotek is a type of masonry protection cream which repels rain penetration. It has been scientifically proven to reduce heat loss and have an energy saving of around 29% in one single coat application.

Warmerwall

The internal surface of external walls can be prone to the build up of condensation, for this issue we have Warmerwall. This is a water-based coating that when applied to external walls, utilises a hollow glass bubble technology which creates an effective insulating barrier between the cold surface and the warm temperature inside the property. Not only does this product inhibit the formation of condensation but it also prevents mould growth and keeps your walls warmer.

Thermosave

As condensation can be the most common form of dampness in a home, it is important that it is reduced as much as possible – our Thermosave units do exactly this.
These units can recover up to 75% of heat that would normally be lost to the outside due to having a window open to reduce condensation build up, or with a convention ‘fan’.
The Thermosave unit reduces heat loss and lowers energy costs through a unique heat exchange process.

For further information or to book a survey on these energy-saving products, or indeed any other of our specialist services, please call us now on 0800 789 500.
