Keeping history alive
As approved contractors for the installation of Cintec, Peter Cox are able to stabilise masonry, reinforce walls and provide heavy duty structural anchors to repair and
strengthen just about any building – young, old or positively ancient.
The anchor system is achieved by drilling deep into the structure to allow for a stainless steel bar to be inserted. The rod is surrounded by a woven polyester fabric mesh sleeve into which a special cementitious grout is injected under pressure. The flexible sleeve expands and moulds itself into the drilled spaces in the wall, providing a strong mechanical and chemical bond which starts to cure in just sixty seconds.
The anchors are typically three to four metres long but may be customised up to 8 metres. Various attachments can then be welded to the anchor head, depending on the application.
