Grade 2 listed timber-framed building, Cheshire
The Manchester branch recently completed a programme of timber repairs to a 16th century building in King Street, Knutsford, Cheshire. Sections of the oak timber frame were suffering the effects of dry rot attack and woodworm infestation.
Structural Timber Repairs in Mill Conversion, Stalybridge
Built in 1805 and the oldest surviving mill in the area sited in the town centre between the river Tame and the canal, the 4 storey Longlands Mill had been derelict for almost 50 years and was suffering from extensive damp ingress and timber decay.
Structural Timber repairs - Bury Transport Museum
The Manchester branch of Peter Cox has completed a programme of structural timber repairs to the 1840’s-built Grade 2 listed Castlecroft Warehouse, home of the Bury Transport Museum. Work included resin repairs to failed roof trusses, renewal of valley beams, replacement of rafters and roof boarding.
Stabilizing Aluminium Cladding, Stockport
Aluminium panels with asbestos infill had started to come loose in places, probably due to wind pressure distorting the panels which allowed the original fixings to corrode. Cintec cementitious grout inflated anchors were used in the repair.
